I've been drawing since I was about 9 years old. It was triggered after I first watched 'Pokemon' and fell in love with the artwork! Although I borrow alot from the anime/manga style I have developed my own style within that genre. I'm also inspired by Rennaisance, Rococo, Art Deco, Art Nouveau and Baroque art and design.
My weapons of choice are my trusty mechanical pencil, a selection of different width line pens (black and brown), a huge pack of Karisma colour pencils, Copic marker pens and bottled inks. I also occasionally use pastels, watercolours and acrylics. I use Bristol Board paper to do most of my dry work on, and heavier water colour paper for ink paintings etc. For my digital art I have my Wacom Graphire 2 tablet and I usually use OpenCanvas 2.0, Painter 7, MSPaint and Photoshop CS2. I am currently taking a degree in Drawing and Applied Arts at the University of West England.
Loppiart.com has probably been up and running for about 4 or 5 years now, although I'm not quite sure! I aquired it when a family friend asked me to create a website for their restaurant. The guys who hosted it were nice enough to give me a years free hosting and domain name of my choice! Since then it's had numerous different layout designs and has moved to several different hosts. Loppiart.com is currently settled at the lovely and reliable Steadfast Networks.
The current layout was hand drawn on paper before being scanned into Photoshop CS2 and coloured using a graphics tablet. For the coding, I used Dreamweaver to get the general layout in place, and then coded the rest in good ol' Notepad! This layout uses PHP includes and CSS styles.
